Three Scarlet Submarines (三艘深红潜艇)

Above the frigid seabed where the sunlight could not reach, Three Scarlet Submarines move slowly. Nothing could be seen in their windows other than the infinity of water and rocky edges. They were sent on a forgotten mission by a bureaucracy that ceased to exist shortly after the mission was given. Every aspect of their story could be debated. Except for the colour of the ships, perhaps, that’s why they were called “Three Scarlet Submarines.”

没过几天,她的幻影又一次看见他的到访。熟悉的瘦小黑马,略微发福的中年男人,长着一张难以忘却的脸。他也看见了她,他刻意多眨了几下眼睛;她也注意到了,止不住笑了笑。

“你说得对,我是该回一趟叙利亚。我还没到罗马,就掉头返程了,”奈拉比斯怀着哀容,“一想到顺路,还能一道来看看你。我还是想通了,我的人生最终躲不开这片瀚海,我穿过它从叙利亚来到罗马,现在又要原路回去。我要去认识我未曾有机会结识的人,我要去祭奠他们。我伤痕累累的背上负着两个死亡的帝国,还有……”
